Methods of Payment

We accept the following forms of payment: MASTERCARD, VISA, DISCOVER, AMERICAN EXPRESS, MONEY ORDERS, CASHIER’S CHECKS, and PERSONAL CHECKS. Personal checks will be held till to clear our bank. Orders that are payed via credit card will usually ship the same day as long as it is in stock. Please note that your order cannot not be processed without the three (3) digit security code on the back of the card or the four (4) digit security code depending on the card you are using.

If you wish to pay by check or money order, please use our TrainWorld Order Form (http://www.trainworld.com/orderform.htm ) or, write a letter with the items of interest and include: item numbers, a brief description, our advertised price, approximate shipping (see Shipping below), and a total amount and a check or money order made payable to TrainWorld. Fax order forms or letters to 718-972-8514. NY Residents must include appropriate NY sales tax (this varies from county to county) on total order, including freight charges. Please mail payment to:

Shipping

TrainWorld offers a variety of shipping methods that you may choose from including:
Domestic orders (shipped within the Continental United States)
-Domestic Ground UPS (Standard)
-UPS 3 Day Air (Expensive)
-UPS 2nd Day Air (Very Expensive)
-UPS Next Day Air (Most Expensive)
-U.S.P.S. Parcel Post Air Mail (PO BOX ONLY)

Overseas and Foreign orders (outside of the Continental United States)
-International Air U.S.P.S.
-International Air DHL
-International Air UPS

Orders placed within the Continental United States will be shipped via UPS ground unless you have requested otherwise. In the Continental United States UPS Ground standard minimum shipping $9.95 which DOES NOT includes a modest handling fee. Air Mail shipments made to Canada or Overseas have a minimum charge of $24.99.  Please note that every package is weighed and measured so that actual shipping charges will apply. Orders requiring multiple parcels for shipping will be charged based on the dimensions of each individual parcel. Cost of shipping cannot be estimated ahead of time due to the fact that each order varies in weight, dimensions of package size, value and Zip Code. Charges vary from country to country.***We Recommend a minimum order of at least $15.00 as the minimum shipping cost is starting at $9.95****

Back-Orders/ Pre-Orders

Back-Orders and Pre-Orders are available for certain items that are not currently in stock as well as items that have not been released yet. Please note that if your order contains items that are both in stock as well as B/O items, additional shipping and handling charges will be applied when your B/O items are shipped. You will not be charged for the B/O items until we have received them from the manufacturer. Also, due to the nature of the Model Railroad business, it is possible that your request to B/O an item may take a substantial amount of time to fill.

Refunds and Exchanges

Items must be returned within ten (10) days of receipt. A return authorization (RA) number is required for all returns. Please call us at 718-436-7072 during our normal business hours to obtain an RA. A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all returned items. Returned items must be in new and saleable condition with all original boxes and packing. Shipping, handling, and insurance charges are non-refundable. Videos, Magazines, Books and reading material in general is not returnable. Please send all returns to:
